Terms of use
A short, plain-English summary of the rules for using SunAndMoon. By using the site, you agree to the points below.
Using the site
SunAndMoon is a free tool for looking up sunrise, sunset, golden hour, blue hour and moon information for cities around the world. You can use it for personal, educational or commercial purposes at no cost.
Accuracy of times
Sunrise, sunset, golden hour, blue hour and moon times are calculated with the SunCalc astronomy library and are normally accurate to within about a minute for a clear, flat horizon. They are estimates, not guarantees, and can be affected by hills, tall buildings, weather and atmospheric conditions. Do not rely on these times alone for safety-critical decisions, such as aviation, maritime navigation or religious observance, without checking an authoritative local source.
Acceptable use
Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it at a rate that harms availability for other visitors, or use it for anything unlawful.
Advertising
SunAndMoon may show third-party display advertising to help keep the site free to use. Advertising on the site is covered by our Privacy policy, including cookie consent for visitors in the EEA and UK.
Intellectual property
The design, code and written content of SunAndMoon belong to its operator unless stated otherwise. The underlying astronomical calculations are provided by the open source SunCalc library.
No warranty
The site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for losses arising from your use of the site or reliance on the times it shows.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site evolves. The version shown here is always the current one.
